Questions You Should Ask Before you Buy Your Billiard Cue Case

Do you like to travel over to your buddy’s house to play a few rounds of pool? Or maybe you like to bring your own cue stick down the local pool hall in order to show the regulars there how it’s done. In either case, you are going to need to protect your cue with a high quality cue case.

Hard or Soft?

Cases are either hard or soft, which means that they protect the case with a simple soft material or they protect it with hard plastic or metal. Soft cases can do a fine job protecting your pool cue from scratches or dings, but hard cases give it an extra level of protectoion, plus make it safer to transport.

Many higher end pool cue cases actually have a soft exterior, but have hard plastic on the inside in order to protect your cue stick.

One Cue or Multiple cues?

There are a lots of options for how many cues your case can hold. Let’s say that you have one cue butt but two shafts, one for the break and one for finesse shots. There are plenty of cases that allow you to safely transport all three of these items, so you don’t have to leave one of your shafts behind when you take your cue. Or let’s say you have a lot of cues to travel around with. There are cases that can hold up to eight full cases.

So if you need to travel with more than just a single case, don’t be limited to cases that just hold one cue and one shaft. There are plenty of options for the roving hustler to store their complete arsenal of billiard cues.

What Color Exterior?

If you are going to be carrying your billiard cue case around with you every time you go to play billiards, you want to make certain that it is something you want to be seen with. Do you want a case that matches the color of your cue? Or maybe you want a shiny silver case that makes it look like you are unsheathing a sword every time you pull out your cue. Or maybe you want a super fancy cue case that comes with all the bells and whistles to intimidate your opponents before you unveil your cue.

How Much Storage Space?
